A Froggy Birthday

You know when there is something unsettling in your life and you know exactly what it is, yet you don’t want to think about it. It lingers in the back of your mind, taunting you, teasing you. It rears its uglyness and pesters you often. You try to go on with your day, yet it is there – reminding you that no matter what you do to try to keep your mind off it, the problem will not go away. *sigh* I feel a little better typing that much out, but at this moment, I’m still not comfortable with sharing my entire thoughts. I’ve never been one to dish out my problems and situations to others, just sort of deal with them on my own. I’ve always been the listener.

Anyway! I made this card for the bf’s birthday (July 20th). It was the first birthday I got to actually spend with him after 3 years of dating. The original idea was from Jo, an instructor at Photo Express. I loved the original card so much, I knew I was going to CASE it from the first time I saw it. The original was made using the QK turtle, but I wanted to use the frog instead. Ahem, and I also don’t own the turtle yet.

Ran the green cs through my Cuttlebug using the Spots and Dots folder. Lots of matte layers as you can see… Die cut the frogs and attached them using the amazing quickie glue pen.

Supplies: QuicKutz frog, surfboard, and metro alphabet dies, Cuttlebug Spots and Dots embossing folder, Bazzill cs, Stampin Up heart from Monkey Business, Pebbles Inc chalk, white gel pen

  7. OK…first of all, your card is super-cute!!! SO awesome that you have two cute little froggies on your card. Second of all, please KNOW that I am concerned about you and what’s going on with your dad. I will definitely pray for him constantly and I hope he is out of the woods soon. PM me through “the Shack” if you ever want to off-load. I’m an awesome sounding board. Folks do it all the time, and I don’t mind. I can’t promise to offer you advice, but I can offer you a shouler to lean on/ cry on / pound on.

Hugs to you, my friend. Ethel

  8. Hey…I love Photo Express too!! I don’t get out there as often as I like (I live in Surrey) but it’s a great store!!! I didn’t realize you were local!
To the important stuff…I hope your dad is OK and that the tests show nothing serious. All the best with what’s goin’ on.
