December Greetings and TECC46

I hope that everyone has had a great weekend and that you have all finished up your Christmas projects by now! Or is that only wishful thinking? lol If I tried to tell you how busy I’ve been the past couple of months, you would not believe me, so I’m not even going to try to tell you. I always have many things on the go and hopefully will be able to unfold them all when the time comes. 😉

I had purchased the Imaginisce line of Snowy Jo paper earlier this fall and have not had anytime to play! I was stuck in a rut for a few days and had no creative muse at all. When that happens to me and I want to be fixed up, I usually turn to sketches to get some juice going. I always browse her blog, but this particular week, I decided to play along with Taylor’s sketch TECC46.

Luckily the sketch was an inspirational base and my muse was able to return back home! I’m quite happy with the way this card turned out. You see those punched snowflakes scattered around the snowman? In the original finish for the card – there were no snowflakes, but the card looked so plain that I had to add something to it. I left the card there for a few hours and walked away from my desk. Duty calls – chores had to be done! When I came back, I rememebered that I had this old EK Success punch buried in the back of one of my drawers and pulled it out. Voila – instant, quick and easy embellishing, my friends.

I also wanted to show you that I also stamped the Snowy Jo snowman twice, cut out and layered him onto the first stamped image. You know the trick, it gives the little guy some depth and makes him more realistic. He was coloured in with Copic Markers and adorned with Stickles.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. To those who are still with me after my long sabbatical – you all receive a gold star. Seriously!
