Sketch Saturday August Guest

It’s time for my fourth Sketch Saturday post! . My girl, Sparkle, asked me to join her this month to create different projects for the month of August and I am so delighted to be joining them.

Guess what? I am also lucky that I will be seeing Sparkle this weekend! She’s coming up with a work friend to visit another friend and hey, she’ll be here to celebrate the start of my birthday festivities with me. Yes, my birthday is at the end of the month and you will want to check in to see what all the celebrating is about!

Alright, let’s get on with the Sketch SaturdayLove how simple their sketches are so you can moderate as needed to make it your own!

I’m still trying to squeeze in the last bits of the summer sun before I start playing with an autumn palette, so here is my bright and sunny card for you:

I am going to be sending this card to my dear friend, Peggy, who happens to LOVE Swimming Lucy. It’s her favourite Sparkle Creations stamps. Peggy’s mom – who shares the same birthday I do – passed earlier this year and I just wanted to honour her memory and let Peggy know that I’m thinking of her.

To see what the rest of the Design Team made and to see all the challenge rules, head on over to the Sketch Saturday blog.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Stamps: Swimming Lucy – Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps, Sunshine – Stampendous | Ink: Tuxedo Black – Memento | Paper: Echo Park | Cardstock: Stampin’ Up! | Copic markers | Dies: Must Have Borders Two – Your Next Stamp | Circle Nestabilities – Spellbinders

  1. Oh Thanh, I absolutely love this card! Your colouring is fabulous and I love how you used the chevrons to represent the water she’s floating on! I just wish I could buy more of Sparkle’s stamps over here in the UK. There’s only one store that sell them and they only have a handful.

Thank you so much for being our guest designer this month. I have thoroughly enjoying seeing your creations each week!

  2. This card is fabulous, Thanh. Your paper choice and use of chevrons are a perfect companion to your amazing coloring. It all goes so well together visually. Your friend will be touched by your thoughtfulness and delighted with your creativity. So glad you were our guest DT member this month. I loved seeing your creativity and talent.

  3. Another lovely card – beautifully colored. I’m sure Peggy will just love it and be so touched you thought of her and her mom on your birthday – brilliant idea. Hugs Deb
