Creative Bloghop

Hello and welcome to a new week, readers!

Today’s post is going to be a fun, get to know Thanh a little more type. Last Monday, Chaitali nominated me to participate in her Creative Bloghop post and I’m here to continue the hop.

What is the Creative Bloghop?

It is a never-ending blog hop which takes place on Mondays. Each blogger answers four questions about themselves and afterwards they tag three other creative bloggers to continue the hop so that way, we get introduced to creative bloggers each week.

What am I working on now?

I am currently working on some After Party cards for the Your Next Stamp September release. It’s been a busy week as the company has released an awesome September line up of stamps and dies and the hop is still going on now if you’d like to play along! I’m also working on various other projects for Your Next Stamp as well as working on my September #30lists Challenge – although I’ve fallen behind on that and hoping to catch up soon!

Here’s a peek of the cards I’m working on for Tuesday:

How does my work differ from others in my genre?

When creating cards, I define my style as fun and whimsical and I fluctuate between clean and simple (CAS) to using papers and embellishments galore! But lately, I’ve been drawn to making more CAS cards. I love a good pun and you can see this in my work as I always want to put a smile on someone’s face. I guess you can say that my cards are classy, sassy and a little bit smart assy! *wink*

Why do I create what I do?

Simply because I love seeing paper crafting tools and resources in front of me and coming up with an end product that I can happily say “I made that!” I love what I do and I love sharing and educating others with my love of paper crafting. Each of my projects tells a story and I hope that the story come through when the recipient opens up the gift or card.

How does my creative process work?

I wish I could tell you there is a method to my madness, but sometimes I work on the fly! When I’m organized, I usually pull out the stamps that I’m going to work with and other items such as paper and matching embellishments and try to sketch out a layout in a notebook that I have. I also use a planner to schedule blog posts. But quite honestly, with my busy schedule, I may be working a day before my post needs to be up!

This is typically where I store current stamps, embellishments and other things I would like to work with:

rachel Rachel Parys

Rachel and I “met” back when I was on The Greeting Farm team and we immediately hit it off! Sometimes I call her the sister I never had because she just gets me! She’s got mad colouring skills and I absolutely admire her eye for design.

Tracy Penny

Tracy recently joined us on the Your Next Stamp Design Team and I’ve been able to enjoy her work since. She has a great way of pairing stamped images with the perfect paper to create a fun project that’s right up my alley!

sepia2 Sue Taylor-Hill

Sue is our current September Guest Designer over at Your Next Stamp and I’m so glad! She’s got a way with pairing the perfect embellishments to her projects to add in that finishing touch to every project!

Thanks so much for visiting! If this is the first time you visited here, please stop in again! Take care. t.
