If you were here yesterday, welcome back to Day 2 of me sharing my intentions for 2015. In yesterday’s post, I addressed that there is no better time than starting now. Some of you may have seen a preview of my one word in my Instagram feed (I post quite a bit there!), but I’m expanding on my word today and holding myself accountable of living the life I want to live via my word. If you’re wondering what this is all about, head on over to Ali Edward’s blog and read all about it there. She started it all with the One Little Word ® project. The project asks you to bring a single word into your life and you simply use that word as a guide to experience your year.
My one word for 2015 is grow:
- (of a living thing) undergo natural development by increasing in size and changing physically; progress to maturity.
- become larger or greater over a period of time; increase.
2015 is the year that I’m seeking expansion and maturity. I’m really excited about letting my word guide me through this year! I’m looking forward to strengthening my relationships and broadening my education. In previous years, it took me weeks to settle on a single word, but this year, the word just came to me one day while completing a couple tasks and it’s resonated with me since.I suspect the word came so easily because I’ve been growing for the past couple of years and this blog has become so much more than just a paper crafting blog. I’ve used it as an outlet to share ideas and spread my knowledge of things that I’m passionate about. I’ve made connections with friends from all across the world and I’ve been introduced to certain cultures without leaving my front door.
With growth comes switching gears or as I call it: expansion. While still sharing paper crafts, you’ll see me posting more about my life, food adventures and wedding planning. All of these are so much a part of my life and I want to document these events. What makes this era so unique is how much information is available to us and how we choose to share it.You and me, we’re not so different and I truly believe that by sharing – connecting – we can grow and expand.
Do you have a word for 2015? Please link me up or chat about it below. I’ll be back tomorrow to post about what did/didn’t work for my goals of 2014. To grow, I need to identify what needed more attention last year and what I want to work hard for this year. See you then!
