I really wanted to play with this new Spooky Halloween Scene die set and I wanted to create an evening glow horizon to set the tone. The die set is so versatile in the sense that you can use the fence again for a farm scene, use the trees for a winter scene and the metal fence that it comes with – for pretty much anything else! The haunted mansion… the mansion… so many possibilities.
I really wanted to give the dies a silhouette feel! I first masked off the moon and then using the sponging technique, I sponged on four different inks to create my evening sky. The inks I used are from Memento (Tuxedo Black) and Stampin’ Up (Tangerine Tango, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight). I used some foam adhesive to pop the second tree up just for some dimension as seen below.
