Valentine’s Day

I wish I could make all occasion cards all year, but I guess I’m really not that well rounded. Now that Valentine’s is just around the corner, everything I’ve been doing is red/pink/white/black. The only one card I made this week that wasn’t Valentine themed was for Christie’s Bella swap that I can’t show you yet. Both of the following cards are for swaps I am in from the Stamp Shack.

I had so much fun with this Bella! Loveybella is one of Emily’s recent creations and when I saw her, I completely fell in love with her (not that I don’t love the other Bella’s!). But I thought she was perfect for my Valentines Cards.

I am lovin’ the a*muse stamps! Had to pick up Piggy and Petunia with the “oh-la-la.” They will be used over and over again, I’m sure.

Supplies used:
Valentinabella – Stamps: Stamping Bella, My Sentiments Exactly, Paper: Bazill, KI Memories, Accessories: Michael’s ribbon, Doodlebug brads, Prismacolor pencils, odourless mineral spirits, Stickles glitter glue
Oh la la – Stamps: a*muse, Paper: Bazill, Hiedi Grace Designs, Accessories: Michael’s ribbon and heart punch, Prismacolors pencils, odourless mineral spirits

What a week!

It all started with checking out a new LSS store in the area… Technically not new by any means, but it was new to us in that it was our first time there. As luck would have it, they were having a patterned paper sale. I was a good girl and picked up only a small amount! If you have not heard, I have taken an oath to not buy anything that is more than absolutely necessary in February! I hope I can survive… I really, really do.

Some of these colour schemes are out of my norm, but I thought it would be good to explore outside of my comfort zone.

Have you ever seen a more beautiful site? LOL My Prisma’s finally came in the mail. I had to pay an extra $18 in duties, but it was still cheaper than buying in Canada.

Kaylyn was kind enough to have me over at her house on Tuesday and this was what I left with! Thank you so much Kay!

What to do with these new rubbah stamps?

To end my week, my $1 Rhonna Farrer stamps came from Angie (finally!) We were both surprised that it took 9 whole days to get here. I was getting really worried. Is that not the cutest itty bitty card you’ve seen? I think the stamped image is also another $1RF stamp right, Angie?

So much to play with, but when will I have all the time? *damsel in distress*

A little paper crafts obsession

Do you all think that I have a Paper Crafts obsession? I just noticed how many of their publications I have picked up in the last couple of months… take into account that I did get one as a gift!… Does that make a difference? lol. Perhaps I should get a subscription. But then I am all picky when the mailman brings it. I can’t stand when they bend them in the middle; that little crease drives me bonkers.

I am alive and well other than the fact that I got hit with the stomach flu earlier this week. Andy (dearest boyfriend) claims that it was my cooking. We’re so not going there. School is kicking my butt, and that’s pretty much all that’s new with me.

I got my Bellas and an RAK in the mail earlier last week! Linda, a member from the Stamp Shack, was kind enough to stamp me a bunch of the “Stinkin’ Cute” images from Stampin Up! Along with it came this adorable kitty card. Haven’t yet had a chance to play with them, but I know I will.
